Do you ever marvel at the statement “I just don’t
know what in the world to get him or her for their birthday”!
Looking a little bit of history, the first Sears and Robuck
catalogue printed in 1989-1890 only sold watches. The next
year they added jewelry and silver items. Today, if you would
look up items on the Internet alone that could be given as
birthday gifts, you would find over 42,000,000! So, I ask,
how could one not find a present to give?
One tip that might be helpful before we go shopping is to
start a gift list. You can use a small notebook and create
a page for each person you like to purchase gifts for. Make
notes about the person’s sizes, favorite colors, clothing
preferences, hobbies, interests, as well, as possible allergies
to foods and flowers. Keep the notebook with you so that you
can make notes when you are checking out the local malls or
boutiques.
